Field Test Collection 2011

The Field Test collection was designed around the premise of structures found in magnetic fields. The lightweight forms are created by simulating experiments with B-Field lines which creating a unique and intricate design. 

Inspired by the complex forms of radiolarians, where intricate pattern is integral to structure, these shapes derive from a simulation of spring meshes. We created interactive software to morph, twist, and subdivide each design, transforming a simple mesh to a complex patterned structure.
