3D Photo Frame
is manufactured in strong and flexible polyamide, using SLS (or Selective Laser Sintering) 3D printing technology. That's right, each 3D Photo Frame is produced in a machine by printing a digital file layer by layer into a physical object especially for you. This unique manufacturing process makes possible to create the 3D Photo Frame in a single piece without the need to assemble. It also enables to produce the 3D Photo Frame in demand, so it is manufactured only when you buy it and delivered directly to your home. It is made to support photo size 102x152 mm (4x6 inches).
Colors
are always available in white and black, plus Shapeways seasonal colors.
* Due the material's flexibility, it is advised to use 2 support points in each end, rather than 1 in the middle to keep the straight line look
Make your own 3D halftone picture from a grid of dots, all you need is a picture.
I've included a photo of one of the prints when mounted & framed against a dark background - it's just for illustration, you won't get this with your order!
(to keep the price down this model can't use more than the 30 x 30 (=900 in total) dots I used in the Halftone models I photographed for the illustration above - I will process your photo to make it the right size, if you would like a preview please email me: shapeways@fastness.co.uk )
Clothoid.B lamp is created by a mathematical curve formula and then that spline is lofted in 3d CAD software. Resulting form is parametric and adjustable in almost infinite number of combinations.
You can imagine this 3D form as afterimage of one single point in space as it moves, self-intersecting and rotating around, creating this 3D object. Whole shade form is actually one single line... wrapping around itself. Whole 3d printed light shade is created in one piece by Shapeways.
This lamp is available for purchase now on Shapeways. What you will get from Shapeways is 3D printed lamp shade only.
NOTE: Lamp base will be sent separately.

What you are looking at is a 17cm x 17cm x 17cm Voronoi net of something called the Clebsch diagonal cubic surface. We are using it not for its mathematical properties per se, but to display custom jewelry at retail. For those of you who weren't able to order a sample in the White Glaze material, the print is solid and beautifully smooth, with a very high quality feel to it, completely suited to a professional display environment. Since the White Glaze material is not available right now, it is available here in White, Strong, and Flexible, including the optional colours. • As it could be seen in the description pictures, the detachable globe also fits nicely on top of a battery operated Tea Light. I've got the one depicted here. • Note: This is scale model of a lamp design from a UFO-LAMP™ series. The actual diameter of all globes in this series is 1 meter. • Related design: THE MOTHER SHIP #5B.
