An incredibly talented artist friend of mine (Chantell Hager; http://phantasyfaces.com/) drew some pictures of a dragon for me, so I might model this creature in 3D for fun and practice. Seeing as how it is a decently cool model, I thought I'd surprise her with a pendant of the model in return. This is a slight revision on my first Shapeways model. Some of the details that I had designed into the model were too small to show up in this size, so I revised the model to accentuate some of those features.

Low polygon Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7. I modeled him identical to the original low poly you see in the FF7 videogame (not the cutscenes version or fights version, but the playable, big headed one you actually control).

#####This is NOT an official model by Square Enix#####
I just made it myself since I couldn't find official merchandise with the low poly character.

The 3d print looks great, though the hair isn't as spiky as it should be, since color printing can't do such sharp points.

This was a personal project, not meant for anyone to want to order, except maybe friends. The body mostly intersects with the frame and name, giving it strength to carry around.

I figure it's a pretty neat color print, so I'll leave it so you guys can see photos of it. For the size, the cost was very cheap considering size. The frame has a thickness of a pencil and is solid. Parts of the body and tail are hollow.

No mark-up since this is mostly for friends

Some sort of monster that we fought a lot of and expect to fight more.

Made for our D&D game.

There is too much tiny detail for Frosted Detail. It would probably be okay in Ultra Detail. Or I should have made it larger. Or less detailed.

Critter with a flat base and a 12mm diameter hole in the bottom. Could double as pinky puppet, maybe?

Colours, especially black, will probably be more intense with a clear coating, such as nail polish, which I have used successfully. However, some finishes may react with the wax coating already on it.

The image mapped onto the critter is the MS Windows water lily image supplied as sample wallpaper.
