Inspired by the complex forms of radiolarians, where intricate pattern is integral to structure, these shapes derive from a simulation of spring meshes. We created interactive software to morph, twist, and subdivide each design, transforming a simple mesh to a complex patterned structure.

A double moonball ring with one small ball and one medium ball. The balls appear to float on your hand between your fingers. It is somewhat adjustable. The larger ball is 14mm in diameter, the smaller ball is about 9.5mm. Size 7 is shown.

OK, this is a bit out there and to be honest I am not sure this ring is going to be very comfortable. The inspiration for this design comes from the excellent Trias 1 ring design by Ben van Helden, a goldsmith in Zeist, The Netherlands. For more information on that design go to:
