This kinetic sculpture is inspired by the unlimited freedom of 3d printing,
it wobbles and turns with a slight movement of the hand.
Now give it a good spin or puff of air and it erupts in erratic and wild behavior.

Instructions
It is composed of four concentric cubes, each one spinning around a different axis.
The model needs some minor assembly:
Each inner cube has two knobs which need to be placed into the corresponding clamps in the parent cube. It's easiest to start with the inner most and continue outward.
And then... spin it away !

Notes
Do not be alarmed if your cube will not run smoothly at first!
Because of minor variations as a result of the printing process,
some need to wear in a little but will loosen up very quickly.
In the example video I am blowing on it to make it move, it's that smooth.

Be a little careful with (the assembly of) the Alumide version as this material is slightly less flexible/robust than the Strong & Flexible materials.

Get a complete set.
A default set consists of an Alumide Gyro the Cube and a White stand, you can change the materials in your cart later. +

This is a mobius strip of Level 1 or Super Mario Bros. The whole level is wrapped around itself in a single surface, and poor Mario begins and ends at the same spot every time :(

All the elements from the level are there: every mushroom, turtle, cloud and star. They are all carved out of the surface at different heights, which looks fantastic when you have a light coming from the side, and each block casts a shadow.

It's a great piece to have on your desk, or to hang from a string to let it spin around.

This is a 3D printed Daft Punk DIY Helmet Kit created as a tribute to one of my favorite bands. It was built in CAD and sized to be 2 inches tall when fully assembled. This is a customizable DIY Kit, that requires assembly, priming, perhaps some sanding and any art medium can be applied to it. Lights can be added like the original if the visor is replicated in clear resin and this can fit on just about any toy. I'm designing the second of the duo-series and will post it soon. The classic old school Koopa character from the NES version of the Super Mario Brothers game, carefully translated to 3D pixels.

This is a separately orderable part from the Mariorama sculpture, which can also be found in the Sevensheaven 3D Print Store.

The gyroid is a famous triply periodic minimal surface discovered by Alan Schoen at the end of the 60s. The gyroid separates space into two identical labyrinths of passages.

Although it's hard to tell at a glance, this version is not the usual pseudo-gyroid trigonometric isosurface. It is a true tension minimized gyroid, built using "Surface Evolver" (by Ken Brakke). It has been optimized to be printed in 5 cm dimension at reasonable cost.

This model is made of a two continuous bands that wrap diagonally in opposite directions around a torus shape. Here's two additional Spiral Tori: Spiral Torus Mesh 110mm and a colored version Holiday Spiral Torus

A level-4 Menger sponge 0.3mm wall-thickness. Only available in Frosted Ultra Detail.
Due to the small size of the holes, they get full of the wax of the support structure and must be removed with warm water or any product that disolves the wax without affecting the FUD material. Brushing can destroy the walls.
