The third public evolution of the Animaris Geneticus Parvus. #7 has evolved legs, with pointy feet instead of flat. Featuring a fully working Theo Jansen mechanism as used in his work "the Rhinoceros".
Also see our new Propeller Propulsion add-on, to have your Strandbeest walk autonomously!

The mechanism is printed assembled, and will work without further assembly right after birth from the printer.

A few tips to consider:

- After birth there might be a little powder left in some joints, or it might not go supersmooth. This will fix itself after the animal has a little bit of practice!

- Some surfaces work better than others. The legs require a little friction, and a flat surface. So for example: A rough table or floor, thin flat carpeting, or a thin rubber sheet. It will slip on a too smooth surface.

- The best way to push it is by its nameplate. Do not push down, but forward.

- The beest is light, but quite strong. It can actually be dropped without breaking. It is not a "toy" however, and not suitable for children. The 3D printer material is easy to stain so clean hands are advised.

A while ago, I saw a guy clamping an old plastic bottle between the seat stays of his bike, to use it as a fender. It doesn't look very stable but it was a great idea anyway!

This 3d printed mount works with most plastic bottles, like Coke, Evian ect. You can just clip it on your bike - no glue or screws needed!
I've used a bottle which I've cut before. Technical, there is no need to halve it but it looks better this way and it's done easily.

This bottle-fender-mount works nice on old steel bike racing frames. The diameter of the tube should be about 29 mm (1.14 inch). Please check the pictures above to see if it's comparable to your bike.
Message me if you need it for another frame size.

I love my bike! It's based on an old racing cycle frame combined with a lot of nice and rare bicycle parts. I do not want it stolen, so I carry it every day, 100 steps down, 100 steps up. Sometimes living on the 4th floor is a real disadvantage.
Adding a carrying handle seems useful and in fact it is working very well!

This carrying handle works nice on old steel bike racing frames. The diameter of the down- and seat-tube is 29 mm (1.14 inch). Please message me if you need it for another frame size.

It comes without screws and bolt nuts! You need two 4 mm screws and bolt nuts. The screws should be 10-15 mm (0.39-0.59 inch) long.
