The C-shaped, flexible design fits close to the skin, is light-weight, and uses minimal material. The final product is built up layer by layer in durable nylon plastic using Selective Laser Sintering, a kind of 3D printing. Nylon is quite comfortable to wear because it is lightweight and flexible.
The design was formed in a simulation of spring meshes. We created interactive software to morph, twist, and subdivide each design, transforming a simple mesh to a complex patterned structure. In our work, we start with a natural inspiration and translate that into interactive software which we can use to generate an infinite variety of forms and patterns.
This steampunk-inspired pendant features three gears that spin round and round the center handle and gear. The gears, front, and clock hand all spin at different rates, producing a fascinating spin that will keep even the most fidgety hands occupied.

The branches produce a beautiful pattern regardless of which angle you view it in. All the lines is flowing and come together in harmony.
Please note that the "White Strong & Flexible" material will turn yellowish if you leave it in the sun. If you're going to hang it in a window, make sure it faces the side of the building with most shadow.
