mila_mits@lynnturner21, I polish them by hand with sandpaper. Tried to do it with one of those hobby drills thinking it would be faster but it did more harm than good, so just regular sandpaper starting from 180 and finishing with the finest one (I use white sandpaper as black one can leave dark particles and make the model look dirty). As to the dying I was using fabric dyes which you dissolve in water and then keep the details in this solvent for some time. Finding the right shade can be tricky, I did it with trial and error, and I'll be happy to share my experience in some extended post if you are interested.
mila_mits@gimpy136 I know what you mean, I've been there too with polymer clay. Btw, thanks for your advise about the picture, indeed, when i re-read my explanation about the wires I find it quite confusing myself)) So, instead, I added a short video that I hope will be more helpful. You can find it here together with a new doll model, I would be happy to know what you think of it https://www.shapeways.com/product/27Q9JM4U5/ball-jointed-doll
mila_mits@gimpy136, yes! It's coming very soon, I've printed it already and after I take pictures and maybe make a few minor corrections I'll make it available.
