The third public evolution of the Animaris Geneticus Parvus. #7 has evolved legs, with pointy feet instead of flat. Featuring a fully working Theo Jansen mechanism as used in his work "the Rhinoceros".

The mechanism is printed assembled, and will work without further assembly right after birth from the printer.
A few tips to consider:
- After birth there might be a little powder left in some joints, or it might not go supersmooth. This will fix itself after the animal has a little bit of practice!
- Some surfaces work better than others. The legs require a little friction, and a flat surface. So for example: A rough table or floor, thin flat carpeting, or a thin rubber sheet. It will slip on a too smooth surface.
- The best way to push it is by its nameplate. Do not push down, but forward.
- The beest is light, but quite strong. It can actually be dropped without breaking. It is not a "toy" however, and not suitable for children. The 3D printer material is easy to stain so clean hands are advised.

A smaller version of Triple Gear is available here. A baseplate and axle for using a motor to move the triple gear is available here. Also see 15 cm axle for Triple gear and 30 cm axle for Triple gear.
In this unusual mechanism three gears mesh together in pairs, and yet they can turn!
If you take three ordinary gears and put them together so that each gear meshes with the other two, then none of the gears can turn because neighbouring gears must turn in opposite directions. Triple gear avoids this problem by having the three "gears" arranged like linked rings - the gears then rotate along skew axes, and the opposite direction rule no longer applies (although see also Oskar van Deventer's Magic Gears for another possible solution).
This is joint work with Saul Schleimer. We were inspired by another of Oskar's designs, his Knotted Gear, which consists of two linked rings that gear with each other, and of course we wondered if it would be possible to do three linked rings!
Here is a paper on the mathematics behind the Triple gear, and how we designed it.
A note on materials: I have so far printed it in White Strong & Flexible only. It may arrive with the rings slightly fused together, but gently moving them back and forth will loosen them up, and the mechanism gets smoother with use. I'm not sure what effect the polishing process would have on the gearing mechanism, since it would polish the exposed gear teeth but not those which are meshed as it comes out of the printer. So I have disabled the polished material options. If you really want to try it, let me know. I also haven't tested any of the "frosted detail" materials, but I imagine that they should work fine. It isn't printable in the other "detail" materials because of cleaning problems.

A tiny and elegant dock to store the beautifully designed Apple Remote.
The Apple Remote is a very nice product. It looks stunning and it is wonderfully designed & engineered. I found it a pity that my remote always was lying flat on my desk and that I had no elegant solution to store it. Since Apple is not offering a dock for this product I decided to design one myself and make it available to you.

Multitools seem to be following a trend of getting progressively larger and more complex. The Head Turner, on the other hand, is simple and down-to-earth. The name says it all: this tool is made to turn heads— bolts or otherwise.

A little bit of honeycomb infused into your finger... my neighbor keeps bees on our roof and I was inspired by their hives. This ring looks fantastic in gold but I haven't managed to get pics of it yet. Shown in steel, size 7.
I'll make any size you need. There will always be an open spot in the back so you can tighten it a bit if you need to. I don't recommend trying to stretch any shapeways steel rings because they can break.

*note* - Arca Swiss plate and Manfrotto clamp not included :p. Compatable with Manfrotto 725B tripod heads and other models with the same clamp. This small and light weight adapter allows you to secure your Arca Swiss quick release plate (that attaches to your camera) into a Manfrotto tripod clamp. If you are into photography like I am, then I am sure you can understand how much of a pain it is to constantly be screwing on and off various quick release plates in order to use your favorite camera accessories. This adapter is the fast solution to that problem! Just slide the Arca Swiss plate into the adapter, and lock into your Manfrotto clamp.

This is my single-piece spanner/wrench tool with a range of metric hex nut drivers (5, 5.5, 7, 8, 10, 13 and 17mm) and a 1/4" hex bit driver.
An o-ring is required to complete the assembly to help hold a 1/4" hex bit in the driver slot (7mm ID, 2mm diameter, not included).
This model is designed to be printed in Stainless Steel or one of it's variants.
The tool can easily be secured to a keychain or lanyard with a 10mm split ring or a No.2 McGizmo clip or similar 25mm gate clip.

This is a Focus Cover for the Canon Speedlite 430EX II.
You can use this cover to concentrate your flash on one specific object.
This is a good replacement for the often used 'Pringles can with straws'
NOTE: Since the Black Strong & Flexible has a somewhat grainy texture this COULD leave some small traces on your flash because of the tight fit. Nothing real serieus, but worth noticing.

The Designer's Pebble holds 4 Sharpie Pens as well as your favorite set of Calipers. Due to the 2 step holes used for holding the Sharpie Pens, the Pebble is also capable of holing pens with a diameter of 9.0mm as well as pens with a diameter of 10.7mm.

The design changed a little to give more stability to the frame!
This is a light frame for the current Apple Airport Express.
You are able to hang the WiFi-box onto the power plug or on the wall, allowing to use it like the older Express versions.
In Black it will also work with the 2nd and 3rd generation Apple TV.
It's recommended to spool the cable onto the holder first before attaching the airport express to it.

A printable part (Works in plastic, but I decided to have mine made in stainless steel) that lets you attach a strap to the Russian Sputnik Camera.
For some odd reason the designers of the Russian Sputnik Stereo Camera felt that no one would want to use this big bulky thing with a camera strap. Well, I did. So I went ahead and printed out these simple strap lugs.
They replace the black metal winding knob parts which adds a strap lug to the camera. I have tried and tested this part in both plastic, and stainless steel, and while I do trust the plastic, I much prefer the stainless (Which is shown above)

Just use a simple binder-clamp to attach your Apple device to a table or shelf for charging...
With this holder it's possible to put the current standard Apple charging cable (Lightning coming soon) onto a metal binder clip (the one used and displayed is 50mm wide) to charge an iPhone or any other Apple device that uses this cable.
