Theo Jansen’s 3D printed Strandbeest continues to evolve with the addition of a Propeller Propulsion system! The 3D printed Strandbeests can now walk autonomously, powered by the wind, just like Theo's full-scale Strandbeests. The new propeller add-on gives new and existing owners of these kinetic sculptures a new way to set them in motion!

The propeller addition is available as a separate kit, which can be mounted on the 3D printed Strandbeests. The propeller is compatible with the various evolutions of the Strandbeest, so existing owners of the “AGP” 5 and 7 model Strandbeests can use it as well. Consisting of 5 main parts, it can be mounted on the Strandbeest body in a few simple steps.

- After mounting the Propeller Propulsion add-on it is best left mounted. Frequent dis-assembly can wear down the material which can result in play on the mechanism.

The Hyphae lamp is a series of organic table lamps based on how veins form in leaves. Each lamp is a completely one-of-a-kind design 3D-printed in nylon plastic. The lamps are lit by eco-friendly LED's and cast dramatic branching shadows on the wall and ceiling.

About Hyphae
Hyphae is a collection of 3D printed artifacts constructed of rhizome-like networks. Inspired by the vein structures that carry fluids through organisms from the leaves of plants to our own circulatory systems, we created a simulation which uses physical growth principles to build sculptural, organic structures. Starting from an initial seed and a surface, we grow a hierarchical network where nodes constantly branch and merge. The densely interconnected structure is at once airy and strong.

Lighting Specifications
The lamp comes with an eco-friendly 3-watt 200 lumen LED light fixture with three bright Cree LED's that will last for 6 years of continuous use. It is UL-listed and works off a 120V or 240V outlet.

This uses the original texture maps from the game, you can even see the Lambda Half Life logo on DOG's back.

It wasn't easy! I had to remap all the textures manually, and fix all the geometry to make it printable and thick enough to support the weight. I also made most large pieces hollow, but you won't notice that at all (except in the reduced price this provided).

Our living room wall is decorated with some LP's which are, in turn, decorated with some 3d printed goodness: two birds on a branch, tweeting along to your favourite music. The branch can be clipped onto wall mounts for records.

Goes well with the second clip-on model: the vinyl notes.

Periscope guard for Sherman. Set includes 50 guards. The over all shape and size is per the ordnance drawing. The wire size had to be increased in order to make the part printable, but you get a lot of them in a set.

Celtic knot rolled round to create a ring, making quite a balanced design. Made from a knot with 20 loops and seed 1 using the Knot application.

The diameter of the ring is 16mm on the inside (size 5½/K½). Send me a message if you'd like me to create a different sized version.

Tired of planes flown by ghosts? An array of 30 1/144 observers for WWI aeroplanes. This set has 25 observers with single Parabellum guns and 5 with the rare double-Parabellum. Guns are modeled as close as possible to correct proportions given the limitations of FUD material. A box structure protects the model during shipping. It is intended that you can snip off an observer, trim, and glue into existing crewless plane models. These also work very well for replacing crew on WSF models, which do not always print very well. See also the version with Lewis guns for Entente planes and the pilots.

NOTE: The silver piece shown in the pictures was NOT printed by Shapeways. It was printed in Frosted Ultra Detail, which was then used to make a mold which was used to hand-cast it in silver. I haven't printed it in silver, so I can't vouch for how it will turn out.

This is the "Corvus" head for the TFP: Prime RID deluxe Vehicon figure! This head comes in three components which includes the face piece, light pipe and goggle attachments. Yes, this head comes with goggles!

Some flexing is required to mount the goggles onto the head. Take care during assembly not to over-flex.

Version 1.0 has been tested in Frosted Ultra Detail and experienced some fit issues. Version 2.0 is fixed but untested. Frosted Ultra Detail is recommended.

Schwarz D minimal surface (Wiki) cropped by a cubical envelope. I like this surface more than some of the other Schwarz minimal surface. It seem more organic to me. The graceful curves are well suited to a more fluid mesh with rounded cells. This desktop sculpture is approximately the size of a grapefruit and is available in a variety of nylon and acrylic plastics.
