The nocturnal (or nocturlabe) is a very old instrument for telling time at night by measuring the stars. While concept is ancient, this design is all original. It is fully functional (all dials move properly) and meant to be worn as a pendant. This is now available for sale, as it has been tested and works nicely.

How to Use the Nocturnal:

The top of the nocturnal is where you see a bit of a ring around a spike. This ring can be strung with a chain and makes it possible to wear the nocturnal as a pendant. When reading the nocturnal, this end of the piece should always be up.

Your first step is to set the outermost dial on the date. The months are shown as letters, with January and December at the top, and the progression of the months running *counterclockwise*. Note that the exact position of the letter actually marks the middle of that month. Look closer at the piece and you will see the line that separates the months between the letters.

Now, hold your nocturnal up to the starry night sky, making sure that the date is still properly set. Locate the North Star centred in the hole in the middle of the Nocturnal. Then use the central dial (the one that looks like a pointer) to point to the two stars at the end of the bowl of the *big* dipper.

Once you have this all set. Look closer at the pointer and you will see that within the pointer is an eliptical ring and within this is a smaller pointer. This smaller pointer points to a roman numeral, which shows you the time.

Note again, that the roman numeral is centred on the middle of the hour. So, if the little pointer points in the centre of the numeral, it is in fact half past.

So now you can tell time at night without a powered time piece. This is great for night owls, vampires, and those who appreciate a gothic or steampunk look.

"When you need proof that big things do actually come in small packages, you call Cartridge Robot Beast. The heavy-hitter of the Cartridge Robots, twin shoulder-mounted cannons augment Beast's powerful physique. Whether he's blasting away at foes from a distance, or up close smashing your face in, Beast is all about hitting hard every time. Of course, a diminutive stature does have its drawbacks. Beast isn't too quick on his feet, and distance running isn't what he was built for. Thankfully, he can quickly fold up into Cartridge mode for Soundwave to take him wherever he needs to be."

-

Cartridge Robot Beast is a transformable robot gorilla, designed for use with the Cybertron Soundwave/Universe Blaster figures. Beast transforms from a gorilla with 14 points of articulation to a cartridge form which stows inside the chest of Soundwave/Blaster. Included with Beast are two shoulder mounted cannons for added firepower.

-

Beast is recommended to be printed in any of the Strong and Flexible materials, or Frosted Detail/Frosted Ultra Detail.

So, apparently Vangelus mentioned on WTF@TFW, the idea of using PRID Ratchet as a basis for some Autorooper soldiers... and then someone mentioned this idea to me... the result? The Ratchetrooper head mod!

This is a replacement face/head piece for Prime Ratchet. To install, you'll need a small screwdriver to remove the existing screw in the back of Ratchet's head. The two pieces that form the majority of his head will then easily come away from the transparent blue section that forms his neck and light-piping. Slot this on in their place and you're done! It doesn't screw on, but hopefully will be tight enough to stay on by friction alone. If not, you'll need a drop of glue =)

Yes, to get this head looking straight ahead, you need to angle the neck part forward quite a bit. This was necessary because of the length of the piece that forms the eyes on the original figure, I had to angle it down so that it didn't result in thin walls. There's also no light-piping on this figure, due to Ratchet having tiny eyes and the 'rooper having a rather large visor! =P

It was previously not possible to fully retract the head for vehicle mode, although it was close enough. However, this latest version features some minor adjustments that make a LOT of difference. If you trim about 2mm or so off the end of the original figure's eye section (basically the actual eyes themselves), this piece will slide on far enough to allow the head to fully retract when transformed, and also pop back up when returning to 'bot mode =D

Happy army building folks!

And coming soon... alternate 'deployed' hand weapons... and hand-held weapons too...

Before purchasing please understand this kit will take a lot of time and patients to assemble. It will require a great deal of sanding and fitting, its a beast.

Version 2.0, the tripod has been removed, it was useless

The name might be farfetched, but this cannon is too. A massive heavy weapon for your DX and Voyager sized figures. When the reactor shields are opened the centrifuge can spin on a axle.

Add on kit for to turn Prime Wheeljack mold into Hot Rod. The pipes and spoiler are on ball joints to make them integrated with the transformation. The pipes are held on using clips that slide on the lip at the bottom of the door/arm. The ball joint for the pipes can be a little loose but will hold in place without a problem. The spoiler plugs into the location of the current, smaller stock spoiler. It is tight without the placement of screws but the mount has holes to allow the reuses the stock screws that are used with the stock spoiler. These parts have been tested using WSF. Thanks for looking and enjoy.
