BlackVue dashcam adapter for CarrySpeed MagFilter
javaman2012 @yoho2chn I've added an adapter to my store for your DR650, front cam only. Try a search for "Blackvue DR650 cam adapter" to find it. Take a look at the picture in this comment. The left is the adapter for the DR500 and the right is for the DR650. From your measurements, the lens barrel of the DR650 seems to extend 1.13mm more from the side of the dashcam body. Therefore, I moved surface S1 (left design) 1.13mm up, resulting in surface S2 (right design). This should allow the end of the lens barrel to be flush (once again) with the end of the adapter (top of the picture), and the underside of the filter to not make contact with the end of the lens barrel. The surfaces S1/S2 are for the adhesive backed magnetic metal ring that comes with the MagFilter. Since I do not have a DR650 to test, you will be buying at your own risk. However, I charge no markup (I get nothing). Please let me know of your results!
javaman2012 @yoho2chn Give me several days and I will put a design on the product page for you, based on your 4.33mm measurement. You can then print it yourself and see if it works. I use DesignSpark Mechanical to do the designs, and you would have to get the product and learn how to use it - not an easy task - in order to use my design files. I will post a reply to you when the design is ready. I'll include a diagram so that you can see the changes. By the way, there is no royalty for any of my designs - I get nothing from any of the sales. This is just sort of a hobby for a retired person.
javaman2012 @yoho2chn Thanks for your question! The DR650 is a 2-channel device (front and rear camera) and the adapter will definitely not fit on the rear camera - the rear camera is too small. The a and b dimensions are fine and well within measuring variability when using digital calipers to measure the front camera, but your c dimension of 4.33mm may be too big. There is a chance that the lens barrel will contact the inner surface of the polarizing filter. You may want to carefully re-do your measurement. Also, you might want to submit a question on the Dashcamtalk forum to see if anyone has used the adapter on their DR650 front camera. Here is a link to the forum for the DR650: https://forum.dashcamtalk.com/forums/dr650gw-2ch.118/
