Heart Dipping Dish
This is a dish for dipping bread in olive oil. Fill the dish with enough olive oil to cover the heart, and then add balsamic vinegar to the heart. The vinegar will sink to the bottom and fill out the heart! You might need to push the vinegar around with a toothpick to fill out the heart really cleanly, but it is easy to do, and continues to look nice even after you start dipping bread.

I have a 16-month-old son, and most days during lunch I set my phone on my desk and use FaceTime with him while he eats his lunch. Each day I find a different way to prop my phone up against a stack of books, which never works as well as I think it should. I designed this stand so I could look forward to sharing lunches with him, without having to find a place to set my phone.
The tetrahedral design is light but stable. It does not tip, and it works well in both portrait and landscape orientations.
I designed the stand to fit the Otterbox Commuter case for the iPhone 4S, so the cutout on the base is 1.6cm deep. The stand works for naked iPhones as well, and should work on any phone or case up to 1.6cm thick. (If you want a stand with a different size opening, please feel free to leave a comment below.) I also have a smaller version available for a naked iphone 5.

The Tetrahedral iPhone 5 stand is inspired by simple molecular geometries. The stand is light and stable, in both portrait and landscape orientations.
I teach high school math and science, and I keep one of these stands on my desk at school. I like to FaceTime with my 18-month-old son during lunch whenever I can, and I designed the stand so I wouldn't have to prop up my phone during these conversations.
The stand is a steady conversation-starter. Students and visitors to my classroom always ask about it, and are surprised at how light and strong it is. I live in a small town in southeast Alaska, and very few people have the iPhone 5 yet. I had to visit three stores to find a demo iPhone 5 for pictures, and it was a fun visit when I finally found someone with a demo available. Staff at the AT&T store had never seen anything from a 3d printer before, and they were fascinated to see what can be done with 3d printing and design.
The stand is designed to fit a naked iPhone 5, with a 9mm cutout on the base. I have a larger version available with a 1.6cm cutout that fits the Otterbox Commuter case for the iPhone 4S.
