The "tertiant" is a simple astrolabe similar to the quadrant or sextant. It is useful for measuring unreachable altitudes, discovering local latitude, and finding the average of inclines.

This is the only Tertiant known to exist. The quadrant and sextant measure angles less the 90 degress. This astrolabe measures a full 120 degrees allowing the intrepid airship explorer to aim not only above, but also below.

Instructions: Look through the eyepiece, and line up your target with the sites (ie. north star for latitude, the top of a building or tree for altitude). When you do this, the dial will adjust itself by gravity to point out a degree on the guage. Zero is indicated by the vertical bar. Each second degree is marked by a small bar at the bottom of the guage, and these are grouped in ten degrees.

note: Before I release this for sale, I will be adding numbers on the guage, a ring at the top for hanging, and a ring on the end of the dial to hang a weight for more accurate readings.

If you are a Portal geek like me - you know that the Companion Cube is basically a loveable version of Aperture Science Weighted Storage Cube. So if it's a storage cube - why not store something in it!

The cube's corners reach up to ~6.4mm in thickness and the walls are as thick as ~3mm, so you are guaranteed that the cube will withstand rough conditions!

Simply slide a standard x-acto blade into the slot and clip a thin keyring through the hole.
Slide the corner of the packet through the slot and there you have it!

Please use this template to order a customized signet ring. I can add in initials to one of the other symbols you see here, or create a new symbol to your specifications. Please note that the ring and the impression that it makes are mirror images of each other - letters that look right in an impression come from a seal engraved backwards. If you are trying to design your own symbol precisely, please constrain the drawing to an 3/4" diameter circle, and all lines for raised wax should be a minimum of 0.040" wide. This is like drawing with a dull pencil.

Caution: remove signet rings from your hand before using to make an impression. The ring will get hot. Please be careful to avoid burns when using hot wax.

In some rare instances, Shapeways stainless steel rings have caused a reaction called "tea staining." This is a (not permanent) brown mark on the skin caused by a chemical reaction with the bronze binder. So far only one customer has reported this, and research shows that it depends on skin chemistry - some people always get it, most people never do. Some solutions for people concerned with this are coating the skin contact area with clear nail polish, gold plating, or getting the ring made in silver.

A "musette" is the smallest member of the shawm family. Shawms were the renaissance/early baroque version of the oboe. This musical instrument has been created to exacting dimensions to play in the key of F (like a sopranino recorder). It has been designed to use a standard oboe reed. The dimensions are taken from a historical model. The decoration, including the greenman face, twisted flutes, and turning, are my own addition.

Chain Maille (mail) Dice Bag.

The mail is quite a loose weave of European 4 in 1, 'wire' is 1.5mm diameter and the inside diameter of the rings are 8.5mm giving an aspect ratio (AR) of 5 2/3.

There's twelve rings at the top to thread a draw string through.

This is the original hand-crank fan. A slimmer (and less expensive) version can be seen here: Hand-Crank Fan - slim, and both models are still being tweaked a bit before they are released for sale.

This model is specifically designed for the loose tolerances of the WSF materials, and is a single print with six moving parts, although not really effective as a real fan. The entire model is printed with all of the parts in position; nothing is assembled post-production. The 1:9 gear ratio (made of two sets of gears each with a 1:3 gear ratio) makes the fan blades rotate nine times around for every single rotation of the crank. The grip of the handle rotates freely as well.

Here's a simple bracelet design with a side-release latch. The bracelet has a 2.75" inside diameter when closed.

This ring is for making impressions on sealing wax in the form of a gear. This is primarily directed at the Steampunk audience, but it would also be appropriate as a gift for someone mechanically inclined. This ring has a female cavity for producing a male wax impression. A replica saber, this is the main body part of the "RK1". It's hollow all the way through for those wanting to install electronics. The control bar is secured onto the main body by use of gluing in the optional pins. The holes are set for thread tapping to fit 8mm screws.
