There are six regular convex polytopes in 4D, which are analogous to the five Platonic solids in 3D. This is the fifth, the hyperdodecahedron, a remarkably beautiful object brought to my attention by George Hart.

Here it's shown in a Schlegel diagram so you can see all 120 dodecahedral cells, though most are transformed by perspective: in this projection, the only regular dodecahedra are the biggest one on the outside and the tiniest one at the center.

A bigger model is here.

A 3-dimensional version of the Hilbert space filling curve. As shown in the photos, if printed in one of the "Strong & Flexible" plastics, it can be used as a bracelet or hair accessory. It takes a little time to reform back as a cube after being stretched, but it seems that leaving it overnight does the job.

A sculpture. Contrary to popular belief, it is not an algorithmic object.

Why should your plants stay at home? They help clean the air you breathe, are beautiful, and create a wonderful conversation starter. Carry a sprout, a succulent, or a flower you found on your morning walk. When buying this wearable planter through Shapeways, your necklace will come unfinished and without a cord. You can add a silver or leather cord of your choice to your necklace, or you can email hello@wearableplanter.com and we will mail you a leather cord for your planter.

The design is based on the classic Celtic-style knot symbol for the World Tree from Norse mythology, Yggdrasil.

Inside the leaves you can see a small sphere of blue. If you look reaaally carefully, you could notice that the continents in the blue ball are in the shape of Pangea and not our current distribution.

The Lotus top is a graceful form that embraces the upper body, accentuating the shoulders and clavicles. It's name comes from its unique design that blooms at the center opening, allowing the wearer to put her head through and rest it comfortably on the neck and shoulders.

A perfect fit requires a 3D body scan. Email Contact (at) ThreeFormFashion.com for more information on full service scanning and fitting.

This design was inspired by the swirling seed heads of Clematis flowers. When I first saw the seed pods, the first thought that came to my mind was, "The flower is dancing." This model took me longer than expected to finish. My first model was a chaotic tangle of lines. (It looked like the flower went mad instead... hahaha) I went back to look at references to try to capture the original lightness and motion of the flower seeds. At the end, the model was tweaked further to make sure none of the tails intersect each other.

This little planter has been hit by a shrink ray! No, just kidding, it's based on the design of another one, but is 40% smaller. With this miniature wearable planter, you can carry a small plant or a small flower with you on your day's adventures. The much smaller size allows the production process to use considerably less plastic, which translates to a much smaller price. Unlike it's larger older sister, this wearable planter is made of an acrylic polymer. This material has a beautiful smooth finish and does not need to be painted like other necklaces I make that are made out of nylon. The material is inherently watertight as well! Like the other wearable planters, this one is created with the same modeling software and on the same style of 3d printer. This planter is an experiment with scale. It is made of the same acrylic polymer as the translucent planters, but is a much smaller size. This material is watertight, and acts as a perfect vase to carry a bud or a sprout on your day's adventures. Orders from Shapeways do not include a cord, if you would like a cord with your necklace, please buy one from my website www.wearableplanter.com.

A surprising arrangement of figures to create a mathematical form.

Please note that you must order TWO SETS to create the cube – each set includes two figures and four are necessary to create this sculpture. The figures are identical and snap together tightly hands to ankles to make this striking sculpture. Mix and match colors for your own effects. Or order more than two sets to experiment with other configurations.

This model is being exhibited at the Center for Arts Gallery at Towson University, June 30-July 28, 2012.
