Update! The Kickstarter project to have a run of Mathematician's Dice manufactured has been a great success! Buy the Mathematician's Dice here!

A die designed for mathematicians! Rather than the relatively boring numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, this die is jam-packed with the six most important numbers in mathematics! It has: the imaginary number i; the additive identity 0, the multiplicative identity 1, the golden ratio φ (1.618...); Euler's number e (2.718...); and the circular constant π (3.141...).

Any mathematician (and many scientists too) will recognize not just the symbols but the typeface: they were rendered using Donald Knuth's Computer Modern typeface, part of the TeX/LaTeX system, the gold-standard for mathematical and scientific publications.

This die is the perfect gift for the mathematician or scientist (or gamer) in your life!

The symbols were rendered in LaTeX, converted to SVG with pstoedit & Insksape, turned into a TrueTupe font with FontForge, and then added to the existing die shape using Google Sketchup.

Please rate this model if you like it! C'mon, you know you want to give it five stars! :)

Chain Maille (mail) Dice Bag.

The mail is quite a loose weave of European 4 in 1, 'wire' is 1.5mm diameter and the inside diameter of the rings are 8.5mm giving an aspect ratio (AR) of 5 2/3.

There's twelve rings at the top to thread a draw string through.

This is a simple 9 sided die.

It's a lat-long polyisohedron, an order 3 polyisohedron. Though this shape has 27 sides, only 9 of them are stable, each of which appear with equal probability. The numbered sides are offset from the other sides so it's easy to read the result of a roll.

Note that this is a blank, so the faces will need to be numbered.  For more information on unique dice shapes, see http://loki3.com/poly/fair-dice.html.

A solid 3 cm dice with lucky seven concave dots in stead of six.

Use it when playing games of chance or put it on your desk as a luck-bringing gadget. Note: order it executed in Full Color Sandstone for colored dots.

A cheaper hollow version is also available.

This unique 4 sided die is easier to roll than the standard tetrahedron and it's easier to read the result.

The shape is a gyrobifastigium, an order 2 polyisohedron. It has 4 square sides and 4 equilateral triangle sides, though only the square sides are stable.

Note that this is a blank, so the faces will need to be numbered.  For more information on unique dice shapes, see http://loki3.com/poly/fair-dice.html.

Seven, eight, and nine pips easily fit on a standard die, so why not have one with that many? The remaining three faces have the standard dot patterns for four, five, and six.

You'll have to paint in the pips yourself.

To make the die cheaper, there's a pocket in the center that's filled with the support material.

Sorry, I do not customize products anymore...

This is Rounded D6 Die of 20 mm (it is bigger than regular dice that are generally 16 or 18 mm).
It is hollowed (2mm shell) but still contain the "support material", keeping it relatively heavy.

Opposite faces sum to 7 (well, except for the blank die). You can choose between a blank die, two numerical dice (standard and roman numbers) and two dice with pips (regular arrangement or arranged in circles).

A video tutorial explains how to do them with 3DS Max. You can also check this post.

To buy all the six versions with a discount, check the All round D6 page.
