This is a mobius strip of Level 1 or Super Mario Bros. The whole level is wrapped around itself in a single surface, and poor Mario begins and ends at the same spot every time :(

All the elements from the level are there: every mushroom, turtle, cloud and star. They are all carved out of the surface at different heights, which looks fantastic when you have a light coming from the side, and each block casts a shadow.

It's a great piece to have on your desk, or to hang from a string to let it spin around.

I created the skeleton of a skeletal Lepidoptera. The Death's Head Hawkmoth (Acherontia atropos), seen on The Silence of the Lambs , has a skull marking on its back. I made a full human-like bone structure for the moth, with the grinning skull protruding from its back.

The model is very thin, yet sturdy and flexible. Detail level is fantastic, and the natural texture of the 3d printing process gives it a bone-like appearance that works wonders.

Yes, moths don't have endoskeletons, that's the whole point...

The design is based on the classic Celtic-style knot symbol for the World Tree from Norse mythology, Yggdrasil.

Inside the leaves you can see a small sphere of blue. If you look reaaally carefully, you could notice that the continents in the blue ball are in the shape of Pangea and not our current distribution.

Half Life 2 meets Portal. Gordon Freeman and Alyx Vance's best friend, DOG, contemplating the beauty of his new toy, a companion cube. What else could you possibly want? Oh, that's right, Half-Life 2 Episode 3 would be nice...

Gabe, are you listening?

This uses the original texture maps from the game, you can even see the Lambda Half Life logo on DOG's back.

It wasn't easy! I had to remap all the textures manually, and fix all the geometry to make it printable and thick enough to support the weight. I also made most large pieces hollow, but you won't notice that at all (except in the reduced price this provided).

Endless motherf$#&ing bacon! A full color, delicious strip of bacon, twisted around itself, having only one side.

All the textures are raised and carved onto the surface, the colors are bright and clear, and the edges have a scrumptious wavy twist. The material is thin enough to be semi-translucent, and of undeniable baconness.

Low polygon Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7. I modeled him identical to the original low poly you see in the FF7 videogame (not the cutscenes version or fights version, but the playable, big headed one you actually control).

#####This is NOT an official model by Square Enix#####
I just made it myself since I couldn't find official merchandise with the low poly character.

The 3d print looks great, though the hair isn't as spiky as it should be, since color printing can't do such sharp points.

DIY kit of Portal 2's iconic Turret. The kit need some assembly and is not in color. I designed it in pieces si it would be much easier to paint. Since it's in pieces it require glue and a pointy tool to clean the compacted powder from the antenna and back leg hole is also suggested. Once assembled it stand about 15 cm tall.

This project makes use of the intricate geometries and flexible behaviours that are possible with 3d-printed polyamide - holding 111 five-eurocent coins firmly in place to create a stunning necklace. E 5.55 is currently available as a DIY project. Start saving coins now - it’s half the fun. Alternatively, many banks can provide you with those rolls of 5 eurocent coins that you need, at a small cost. A fully assembled version of E 5.55 will be available from michielcornelissen.com soon. Mail me at michiel(at)michielcornelissen(dot(com for wholesale possibilities. Copper can oxidize and become darker over time - which can actually give a great look. If you prefer lighter, shinier coins, there’s an easy - and fun! - way to clean them. Snap the coins out of the necklace, and submerge them in vinegar (you can add table salt, too) for a few minutes. Stir well, to make sure plenty of vinegar gets everywhere. Rinse the coins in hot water, and dry them. It’s magic. The necklace itself can be cleaned with water and soap and even dish-washed, after removing the coins. Each product ordered is individually manufactured, just for you. If you are new to the Shapeways site: to order, you'll be asked to create an account (it's easy; you can even log in with Facebook or Twitter). Product ships in basic Shapeways packaging.
