Inspired by Japanese crest patterns, this model was designed as a Christmas ornament but would look great hanging anywhere in your home!
Each of the 6 sides uses a different traditional family crest design as inspiration. Several of them are also available as single ornaments in my shop.
The "Choban" motif represents a "board- used like a gong." http://shpws.me/mGJL The "Ichoedamaru" motif represents a branch from the gingko tree. http://shpws.me/mGKD "Suisen" shows a curling daffodil or narcissus plant: http://shpws.me/mGKb The "Okashippo" design is made of joined rings. http://shpws.me/mGJM
The "Ichoedamaru" design comes from traditional Japanese family crest patterns - the motif represents a branch from the gingko tree.
This is a smaller version of my ornament design: Ichoedamaru Japanese single ornament .This delicate design with a loop for hanging just needs earring wires added to create a lovely pair of earrings. At 1" across, each is about the size of a US dollar coin. Set of 2.
Please note: the product photos shown are an older version of the design. Shapeways made some suggestions to improve the printing process by adding a thicker edge, so any new orders will reflect that. This should make them stronger and rounder after printing in silver.
