Oslo Ceramic Coaster No.5 of 6

Set of 6 Cermic Coasters, produced and available through Shapeways. 

This project started with my fascination for city grids, from the strict geometry of New York to the seemingly chaotic Bombay layout. At the time, living abroad and a bit homesick, I decided to use the map of Oslo as a starting point for my Oslo Coasters. I picked 6 different areas in Oslo that represents different memories for me and created these products based on the city grid. The can be used seperatly or together.

Reuse the glass jars of Bonne Maman and transform them with this vase top into to a piece of sustainable design. When available in the new flexible rubber like material it holds flowers playful in the vase. This vase topper will screw fit on several glass jars with a screw thread diameter of 80,5mm that is commonly used as a standard for glass jars. Find your glass jar that fits the best to this design. Among usual home objects a flower vase is one of the closest to nature. A true masterpiece of our Organic Mystery design line could therefore be nothing else than a vase, which could easily be a solitaire object lighting-up a spirit of any room. To underline the natural wonder of flowers accenting the beauty of organically created shapes we model two variants of vases. The two models differ not only by the surface structure. While the MkI variant is suitable for flowers with more leaves which can naturally permeate through the vase’s surface (e.g. roses). The MkII variant enhances the beauty of tall flowers with dominant blossom (e.g. Lilium). Our Organic Mystery vases consist of two parts. The outer part’s structured surface is organically shaped to contrast the inner part’s simplicity and natural colors. You can customize the inner part with your favourite Kanji symbols giving the whole object an exotic and at the same time personal touch. Gears of War inspired pendant inscribed with the words "the die is cast" and the latin translation "iacta alea est".

The pendant is 1.3 inch diameter and 1/4th inch thick, it has a nice solid weight.
