NormL@tpthaler I will be interested to see how it works. They work very well on my car and I think you are right about the few mm's as the plastic will flex that much easily
NormL@Namida12 I just use standard old superglue. The specific brand I use is Hobbytown "Insta-Cure +" medium as you can buy large containers and use most of it

NormL@Namida12 as it says in the description, it is designed for an inner tube to be glued on the side facing the tube. It is printed in solid nylon and that is just does not have grip and without the inner tube just slips in the tube. With the inner tube glued in place they are very solid
