Over The Top is a world-record 17x17x17 Rubik's Cube. It makes quite pretty patterns. It can take many, many hours to solve. The puzzle was first presented live to the world at  at the New York Puzzle Party Symposium, Saturday Feb. 12th. The YouTube video was be published after that event, and the record was accepted by Guinness World Records.

About Hyphae
Hyphae is a collection of 3D printed artifacts constructed of rhizome-like networks. Inspired by the vein structures that carry fluids through organisms from the leaves of plants to our own circulatory systems, we created a simulation which uses physical growth principles to build sculptural, organic structures. Starting from an initial seed and a surface, we grow a hierarchical network where nodes constantly branch and merge. The densely interconnected structure is at once airy and strong.

love hurts...but it's fashionable. Clip on back slides into pocket or hangs on pin. Can also be strung as a necklace. Depicting the beauty & pain associated with love… white symbolizing purity, red for passion, black for loss, & silver for reward. The trickle of blood symbolizes sacrifice. It was inspired by the irony of such conflicting emotions within the experience of a relationship.

This design was inspired by the swirling seed heads of Clematis flowers. When I first saw the seed pods, the first thought that came to my mind was, "The flower is dancing." This model took me longer than expected to finish. My first model was a chaotic tangle of lines. (It looked like the flower went mad instead... hahaha) I went back to look at references to try to capture the original lightness and motion of the flower seeds. At the end, the model was tweaked further to make sure none of the tails intersect each other.

Clothoid.A lamp is created by a mathematical curve formula and then that spline is lofted in 3d CAD software. Resulting form is parametric and adjustable in almost infinite number of combinations.

You can imagine this 3D form as afterimage of one single point in space as it moves, self-intersecting and rotating around, creating this 3D object. Whole shade form is actually one single line... wrapping around itself. Whole 3d printed light shade is created in one piece.

This little planter has been hit by a shrink ray! No, just kidding, it's based on the design of another one, but is 40% smaller. With this miniature wearable planter, you can carry a small plant or a small flower with you on your day's adventures. The much smaller size allows the production process to use considerably less plastic, which translates to a much smaller price. Unlike it's larger older sister, this wearable planter is made of an acrylic polymer. This material has a beautiful smooth finish and does not need to be painted like other necklaces I make that are made out of nylon. The material is inherently watertight as well! Like the other wearable planters, this one is created with the same modeling software and on the same style of 3d printer. This planter is an experiment with scale. It is made of the same acrylic polymer as the translucent planters, but is a much smaller size. This material is watertight, and acts as a perfect vase to carry a bud or a sprout on your day's adventures. A planter for your bike! Make your green form of transportation even greener. Works great with small potted plants and flowers, and even large air plants. Encourage yourself to ride your bike more by giving your plant some sunlight. This will guarantee that you will have the coolest bike at the bike rack. Part of my wearable planter series, shown here printed in blue ABS, the same material as Shapeways' Grey Robust. This model is sold from Shapeways, and is only the 3d printed piece. You'll have to add your own cord, and directions are available here.

This design balances on the edge in-between functionality, digital aesthetics, mass customisation and object Oriented Eclecticism. In contrast to contemporary thought and design, which views things as the aggregation or assembly of smaller bits and parts, in Object Oriented Design new objects emerge out of an ecology of interaction of multiple and heterogeneous objects. Through a process of formation or computation, highly differentiated, contradictory concepts and structures can become one object, without resulting in an incongruous collage.

The use of contemporary production techniques as 3d printing offers this design a substantial relevance, since it is designed throughout a series of semi automated steps. This would enable the creation of several geometrical variations and color schemes for this design, with the advantage of being able to print out customised vases on demand. All slightly different in erosion type or formation. Always following the same design rules, production time and all for approximately the same price. Economically this makes a lot of sense since their would not be any overstock needed like in other production methods, where prices only go down depending on a large amount of produced items.

The Kaleidoscope Clock is a two-part model for constructing a clock face. This is Part A of the model, the main frame of the clock. Part B is the background, numbers, and hands of the clock and is available at http://www.shapeways.com/model/580493

Each of the two parts of the clock is available in any of the Strong & Flexible colors, allowing you to create a clock face in the colors you prefer.

You will also need a clock movement. The kit is designed to be used with a high-torque clock movement available at http://www.clockparts.com/clock-part/high-torque-movement-aa-cell/

Part A of the kit is ready to use out of the bag. Part B is sprued and will need to be clipped apart with nail clippers or utility blade. Use a gel super glue to assemble the model. Don't use regular super glue as the Strong & Flexible material is porous and will absorb the glue. The gel variety of super glue does not soak into the material. Assemble the clock as follows:

1. Apply a tiny dab of gel super glue to the flange around each number and insert in the appropriate place on the frame of the clock face.

2. Apply a tiny dab of gel super glue to each of the intersection grooves on the background piece, line it up with the frame, and squeeze together momentarily at each intersection point. Err on the side of less glue.

3. Push the shaft of the clock movement through the hole in the frame, add the rubber and brass washers (included with the clock movement), and add and tighten the brass hex nut (also included with the movement).

4. (Optional) Apply an acrylic spray clearcoat to the assembled face and hands.

5. Push the hour hand onto the protruding white post on the clock movement. You don't need glue to attach the hour hand. It's designed to be snug.

6. Push the minute hand onto the brass post at the end of the movement and thread the brass cap nut (included with the clock movement) onto the post.
