The Gaudi Chair is the follow-up of the Gaudi Stool which was created in 2009. It was designed using the same method as Antoni Gaudi, who made models of hanging chains, that upside-down showed him the strongest shape for his churches. Additionally, to be able to determine the structure of the chair's backrest, a software script was used.

The script was based on three steps: First the distribution of forces across the surface of the chair. Secondly the direction of forces defined the direction of the ribs. Finally the amount of force specified the height of a rib.

Materials and techniques were chosen to create a lightweight chair. The surface is of carbonfiber, the ribs are made of glass-filled nylon, by selective laser sintering.
The project researches how new technoloqy can be based on simple, logical concepts. In this case a concept which has proven it's strength and beauty for over a hundred years.

Leonardo Di Ser Piero, born in Vinci, Italy, was perhaps the first European with a practical solution to flight in ca. 1485. One of his early designs was an ornithopter powered by human muscle by pulling strings, one for each wing. Leonardo did find out fast he needed something else than human power. I replaced it for a crankshaft mechanism in miniature. It comes fully assembled!

Keep in mind if you actually throw the plane, it will crash. Its fan can't be wind-operated.

When my fiance Melissa and I started planning our wedding last September we knew it wasn’t going to be cookie cutter. We decided to include some personal additions that we just couldn’t get elsewhere to make the day our own and at the same time save money. Here’s one example. Instead of buying bouquets for the wedding we decided to use our combined talents to create something that was not only skirted the norm but would also last quite a long time. We combined 3D printed parts and crocheted flowers to create a rather unique bouquet for the bridesmaids. Good for Valentines Day, birthdays, anniversarys, and who knows maybe even other Maker weddings.

If you have a Generation III Prius (2010-present) with 15 inch wheels, you can pop off the UGLY wheel covers to release the alloy beasts underneath. Except - you'll have a hole in the center of the wheel that begs for a decorative cap. These are based on precise measurements of Toyota part #42603-52110.

This has the iconic power symbol embossed in the top of the wheel cover, just like the power button in your Prius. More info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_symbol

Also fits Yaris, Vios
