Design Rules for Models Longer than 117 mm (4.6 inches) in Strong & Flexible

Is the longest dimension of your order 117 mm (4.6 inches) or bigger? Then follow these guidelines!
  • For each millimeter above 117mm (4.6 inches to to be precise), you should also add .006 millimeter to the min wall thickness
    • Example! Longest side of my model is 117 mm, my min wall is .7 mm
    • Example! Longest side of my model is 217 mm, my min wall thickness should be 1.3 mm (217 - 117 = 100 * .006 = 0.6, so wall thickness is 0.6 thicker than the minimum, which brings us to 1.3 mm)
  • The bigger the model is, the more important the structure is self supported. Meaning, if you place the model on the table without any supports, would it stand up. How about if you put it in a box and give it a good shake?
  • Min Detail: 0.6 mm
  • Lead time will be a few days (3-4 days) longer
  • Depending on the model, you may notice extra "stepping" in the surface of your material
