Christina, you designed the cases above? Major kudos. I always think of clever industrial design as coming from men/males. Guess I gotta correct that. Inspiring.

Thanks Shelley! There is a scattering of very talented Shapeways females, perhaps I should do a blog highlighting them some time soon. I personally didnt initially start out in industrial design, but a different aspect of 3D modeling that is also male dominated. I encourage more women to start 3D modeling, I think they/we could give a fresh outlook to a variety of designs.

Most women I know think that modeling is walking down a catwalk in skimpy clothing. lol

Being in 3D modeling / printing as a woman I know what you mean, it really isn't well known what 3D modeling is in the public eye, and even less so among women.

I do have a friend who does runway modeling on the side that also knows what 3D modeling is especially since her boyfriend / my other friend is a modeler for a well known game company. :-)
