3D Printing to Replace Irreplaceable Parts

Display comments as (Linear | Threaded)

Though it isn't available on Shapeways yet, Viridis3D can print molds for metal casting of parts. Metals poured so far include aluminum, bronze, and iron alloys. Those replacement car parts aren't that far off. There are a large number of scanning service bureaus around, that can capture and repair the 3d data for an ever decreasing cost.
