Yes, you heard it here first. Starting today we are introducing a new material that has been in research and development for quite some time. Our R&D team has labored long and hard on perfecting this material, testing it, getting it ready for mass production. Thousands of cups of coffees and sandwiches later–it is ready.
The best thing about this material is the freedom to design. The material has no minimum wall thickness, geometric limitation or detail restrictions. That’s right, if you can think it, we can print it–for reals. Do you have a train model with .0001mm detail because the April 1st, 1941 Edition B-8924 Theta train has window scratch that you MUST replicate? We can print that too. Are you a mathematical artist and want to print your favorite Mandelbrot set? We can do that too. Do you want to print a 3000-sided thorn dice to match your 3000 likes on Facebook? Upload away! Big walls, small walls, transparent walls, imaginary walls. All possible right at Shapeways.
Without further ado, we are happy to bring you this season’s Spring Aeros Uber-Transparent Detail & Flexible! Can’t wait to see your designs!

(Happy April 1st!)
I have uploaded my model but cannot find it in the material options,
what gives
I hope to God that post number one is a joke…
Wow, how beautiful !I want to get the goods .Anywhere,I will introduce you a website which is also has beautifuljewelries.
Beautiful women must have a look!
I wouldn’t say no minimum wall. Oxygen is 10e-10meters across, and It’s not the largest element in the composition 😛
You called our bluff, Michael Williams! I know it will be difficult to keep things over 10e-10 meters. Hang in there! =/
Dear Nancy,
read your report. Interesting, as I’m looking for someone, who is able to print me a certain prototyping in a clear material, like as glass full transperant.
If you know how or someone who can manufakture parts out of such an material, please let me know, I can mail you a “stl-file” of the part. Size is, about 100 mm length, 52 mm wide and 38 mm high. It’s a kind of cover.
Thank you.
Kindly regarding

My print arrived and it looks spectacular! Just unbelievable clarity and lightness in the hand. I’ve never seen anything like it. Nice job Shapeways, way to keep pushing the envelope. I’ll post photos in “It arrived” soon.
Awesome, I look forward to seeing them.
Please make sure you do not use a flash as it really destroys the details
Boooooooooo!
That was cruel, guys!
@Laszlo Aww sorry, just a little April fools fun.
