Monday, August 30. 2010Last Chance for 100% Design ContestIt is the final days of the the 2010 Shapeways & Despoke: 100% Design Contest so it is your last chance to submit your design(s).
We have already received many fantastic entries but the contest is still open until Wednesday the 1st of September 12:00 CET, finalists will have there model 3D printed by Shapeways, promoted on the Despoke & 100% Design websites while the winner will also receive a $100 Shapeways 3D printing coupon. Shapeways will also be running a stall at the 100% Design fair in London so if you are in London come and see us at stall D27. 100% Design is the UK's leading design & architecture event. Held September 23rd to 26th in Earls Court, London, 100% Design London features world-class interiors show 100% Design, architectural and interior materials exhibition 100% Materials and emerging talent showcase 100% Futures. Just to be sure: Can designs which are visible but that cannot be ordered (because untested) take part to the contest ?

Yes, as long as the cost to 3D print is under $100.. Enter as many times as you like. good luck.
Thank you for the answer ! My entries are already online since a couple of days. The contestants uploaded a lot of good entries! It will be difficult for the Despoke to find only five winners...
UHhh ohhhh ....
This is going to be hard for the judges. I just pretended I was a judge and went through the list of designs marked 100percent int he gallery. It was really difficult to narrow it down. I couldn't get to a top 5. I think I narrowed it down to 7 without including any of my own entries. And even then, I eliminated certain product types. If the judges have a different point of view, they may find it harder than I did. Phew, good luck all! -Whystler |
