But wait ... the Geary Cube is just barely over $500 and incurs a discount of only $1.50. The Fractal Conch is already priced under $500 and gets no discount!
How about starting the discount at $250? Or $100?
We know that the discount would be more attractive if it were on cheaper models but right now we can do this only on the expensive models.
I am so very confused ...
To me, if I get 75% discount on an order over 1000, that means if my order is $3000, then I only pay 25% of it which means I pay $750. That doesn't match your examples... But I suppose I can think a little differently... Maybe I get a 75% discount only on the amount more than $1000. So that should mean if my order is $3000, then I pay $1000 + 25% of the remaining $2000. And that would be mean I pay $1500. but that doesn't match your example. So, if I try it a different way, maybe when you say 75% discount, you mean that I pay 75% of the price instead of taking 75% off the price. Ok, so that should mean if my order is $3000, then I $1000 + 75% of the remaining $2000. And that would mean I pay $2500 .. still wrong. HELP!? -Whystler
It is confusing, I looked at the Excel file ...
It's 25% off between $500 and $1000, and 75% off anything over $1000. So for the $3000 example we have $500 + 0.75(500) + 0.25(2000) = $1375
Strangeness! But I understand now

No, that's not your fault, Joris: nothing can be clearer than an Excel formula...
Point the idiot sign at me please. I'm the one who didn't understand

Sounds like a great plan unfortunately the first prototype for our fledgling toy company that will cost $600 to make won't be made by our 3d artist till after Oct 10 so this doesn't help me at all.
That won't stop me getting it done here as the price is STILL right. Shapeways has opened up a whole new world for us. |
