Hi! I entered "save25 for $125+" at the checkout and it says: The code you entered is not valid or has expired.
What do I do wrong?
#1 Darya on 2013-11-28 09:03 (Reply)
Try with just "save25"
#1.1 mkroeker on 2013-11-28 09:35 (Reply)

Wait so...the traditional 20% off code for Black Friday was neutered? That's really unfortunate given that my planned order is mid-way between $125 and $200...

Any idea if it will change back for "Cyber Monday"?
#2 Justin on 2013-11-28 16:36 (Reply)
It's pretty much equivalent to 20% off ;-)
Actually its 25% off for the $200 amount!
#2.1 Natalia (Homepage) on 2013-11-28 20:46 (Reply)
Yes but as I said it's much worse in most circumstances (unless you happen to have make it that specific amount). For my cart ($160), the savings are around 15% rather than 20% which it traditionally has been. Disappointed that it was changed so much...and there isn't even free shipping to compensate :/ I understand the economy is tough, but Black Friday is supposed to offer great deals to the people as an incentive to spend...15% off is a rather poor incentive compared to what most retailers are doing.

Hi, i think that i saw you visited my weblog thus i got here to return the want?.I'm attempting to in finding issues
to improve my website!I guess its ok to use a few of your ideas!!
Hi Natalia, is the discount valid worldwide? I tried to use the save50 code but nothing happened?
#3 MCODE (Homepage) on 2013-11-28 19:33 (Reply)
Yes, its valid worldwide! You just need to reach the equivalent amount in Euros if you are shopping in Europe.
#3.1 Natalia (Homepage) on 2013-11-28 20:42 (Reply)
Bit disappointed with fact Europe is set to the equivalent amount in Euros. There is over €50 difference between $200 and €200 and the discount isn't equivalent... The discount in Europe isn't better than last years 20% off in any of the cases. Great deal for America however!

200 euros with or without VAT?
# stannum on 2013-11-29 18:30 (Reply)
Really disappointed if this is your Black Friday deal.

A bit of a joke really.
#4 dylanjones on 2013-11-28 20:22 (Reply)
Sorry you feel that way Dylan...and as I said above, it's actually better than last years sale! :-D
#4.1 Natalia (Homepage) on 2013-11-28 20:49 (Reply)
EXTREMELY disappointed in the black Friday sale! I was counting on the 20% off deal like last year and do not find the remark of $50 off 200 as being a better solution.

I was saving up for a big order and now have to split up the items into several batches to make use of the savings BUT guess what, I have to pay extra shipping for all of them now and end up not saving much compared to the 20% off last year. Its hard to bunch my orders to hit the targets of $125 or $200 so I end up losing out.

I wish it was a simple 20% like last year, very very let down by this as I was waiting for 2 months to place a huge order.
#5 Pauley on 2013-11-29 06:17 (Reply)
Hi Paul,

I can understand your frustration in waiting to place a big order for a big saving. We try to keep our prices as low as possible all year round and have offered several promotions over the last 6 months, including free shipping for the USA and parts of Europe last week.

Last year the ONLY sale we did was the Black Friday sale, which is why it felt special (it was!). This year we are able to offer many more and varied savings, and will continue to do so going forward.

As you said you can bunch your orders, and use the discount 5 times, again better than last year.

We're doing our best, and I do thank you for your feedback, we'll use it to make even better promotions next time!

Dear Natalia, can you please tell me when exactly the discounts end?

Thank you,

#5.1.1 Dan on 2013-11-29 18:56 (Reply)
Thank you for your response Natalia, I may have overreacted a bit but I still do LOVE Shapeways.
#5.1.2 Pauley on 2013-11-30 00:57 (Reply)
Doesn't look like a good deal for anyone in Europe - you have to spend €200 to get €27 discount.
#6 Simon on 2013-11-29 10:51 (Reply)
If i consider that there could be nothing at all, I think that's good deal.

Thank you.
#7 Sven on 2013-11-29 14:54 (Reply)
I think it's great as well, thanks SW!
#8 BAU on 2013-11-29 16:22 (Reply)
What's the expiration date on these codes?
#9 roofoo on 2013-11-29 19:22 (Reply)
They expire Monday December 2nd, Midnight Pacific Standard Time.
#9.1 Natalia (Homepage) on 2013-11-29 22:55 (Reply)
I'm confused. Will the discount still work throughout Monday?
#9.1.1 Ben on 2013-12-02 05:20 (Reply)
Kinda disappointed. Was hoping to see free international shipping like last year.
#10 Tan on 2013-11-30 11:14 (Reply)
I placed an order on friday using the save50, and all worked fine. I just tried placing another order using the save50 once more, and it says its expired or not valid. Whats being done wrong here?
#11 Rodney on 2013-12-02 01:14 (Reply)
I have tried to use the Save50 coupon twice, everything looks fine and it discounts until I get to the "review" screen and then the discount resets to zero and the original undiscounted price is shown and the only option is to finalize checkout, attempting to readd the coupon code doesn't work on this screen it says "save50 applied" and discount 0.00
#12 J on 2013-12-02 05:45 (Reply)
I would also like to add, that I finally thought I got the code to work, entered it in the shapeways checkout screen and it reduced the price, then when I went to pay with paypal, I saw I was being charged the FULL amount without the discount yet again! There is something wrong with the codes and how shapeways has set this up. I have been trying to get the codes to work for over 10 minutes.
#13 J on 2013-12-02 05:53 (Reply)
I've tried to use code save10 (for €55+), my pre-VAT amount is over €55.
In my order form it says the code is applied but the discount amount shows -€0.00
What's wrong?
