Won't it be a lot cheaper and easier to just mass produce each template shapes and let users paint directly on them? The shapes seem simple enough to be painted by hand.

Drawing on paper, scan and then 3D print the texture mapped shape seemed to be a complicated way to achieve the same goal...

The figures are so adorable with their bright colors. Kids will love them and adults too since some people love to collect stuff like these. This may well be a good gift for Christmas.
