Where did you come up with the idea for Shapeways?
Greate pieces. Keep posting such kind of info on your site.
Im really impressed by your blog.
Hello there, You have done an excellent job.
I’ll definitely digg it and in my opinion recommend to my friends. I’m sure they’ll be benefited from this site.
Is it possible to make a 3D pendant from a 2D drawing of my company logo?
Try this https://www.shapeways.com/creator/2d_to_3d?li=nav
Tremendous things here. I’m very glad to look your article. Thanks so much and I’m looking ahead to
contact you. Will you please drop me a mail?
Hi,
Well I’m new to this website and I’m glad to know that designers can sell their ideas here through 3D printing which is great.
I’m interested in opening up a shop here to sell some of my ideas. But I’m curious that how can I open up two/multiple shops by different names. The reason for this is that I have some ideas/models which fall under different categories and it would be great if I have a theme based name for the shop.
For example some of the models are like antiques/decorative art and some are modern art pieces, gadgets, accessories etc. Therefore I was wondering if I could open up multiple theme based shops.
Please suggest what are the possibilities.
I thank you in advance 🙂
Ashish
You can in theory open multiple shops on Shapeways but you will need more than one account to do so.
Kind regards
Didn’t catch the LIVE, such a pity. What I’m interested is, how big you want the NYC factory to be?
I’m wondering if Shapeways has a plan of decentralizing the production at some point. Sort of like franchising the “Shapeways” brand and some of the business processes to other companies around the country or perhaps simply opening other, smaller, operations around the country, fully owned by Shapeways. It seems like 3D printing could be made more approachable (and perhaps more affordable?) by using more than one, large as it is, plant in the US.
I have heard of laser sintered metal parts having a mirror finish. Is this true and will you be offering this type of printing in the future?
