Ever wanted to know exactly how many hits you get in your shop on any given day? Where they come from? What keywords they used to find you? How long they stayed on your page? What browser and operating system they used? What exactly was their screen resolution and how many colors it displayed? Ok, maybe not the screen resolution.
We have has SO MANY requests for this we have now made it possible the the latest site update. The amazing team of developers also made it as easy as possible so you do not need to paste a HTML snippet but just a simple code, for full instructions of how to make it happen in your shop follow the Google Analytics tutorial.. And don't forget to make the most of any AdWords vouchers that Google is bound to send your way!
It was March 11, 2010, the day the most of us stopped getting this message.
'There's a problem with your new model, "Only manifold objects can be printed".
Tears of relief flowed down our collective faces as in came Mesh Medic to automate 3D printing file repair and save hours of hair tearing frustration.
Shapeways now has Mesh Medic in Full Color, where previously when Mesh Medic fixed your mesh you would lose your color mapping, now Mesh Medic will repair holes, invert your inverted normals so they're normal, repair manifolds, all in full color!
We have had quite a few requests to find a way to share a design with specific people without making the design public. In the last round of website updates this is now possible with a hidden model view state. It is relatively easy to do and means that you can sell the object to a customer whom with you share a private URL that includes a security code to access but still allows you to include (and conceal) your mark-up.
You are all now well aware of Noah Improbablecog Beasley's Open Source Jewelry project on Kickstarter, and you may know of Thingiverse, where Makerbot(ers) share there files to be extruded from hot gooey plastic, you may even know of Content Central, where Solidworks types (or just anyone) can upload/download 3D models of just about anything (mainly mechanical parts).
Shapeways has had the 3D Parts Database for a while, but now sharing your 3D files on Shapeways has just gotten a whole lot easier.
