Beautiful 3D printed jewelry inspired by a visit to the Gemological Institute in the San Diego.
They have a variety of fine cut gems but it
was really the uncut pieces that interested me. They have some pieces
that look like ordinary large rocks from the outside but when cut in
half reveal these beautiful crystalline surfaces (geodes).
Beautiful! Jealous I didn’t think of it. The wonder of how geodes are formed is one of the artistic beauties of science. great execution.
