Happy Thanksgiving!

Display comments as (Linear | Threaded)

Whilst visiting Tennessee from the UK nearly 20 years ago, the very ancient great aunt of a friend of mine over there asked if we celebrated Thanksgiving. With the encouragement of my American friend, I couldn't resist a little gentle leg pulling. She seemed very content with my answer, "Yes of course we do, we celebrate that we had somewhere to send our excess population!"

I fondly remember watching (on what was then a huge projection TV) Dallas playing at home with snow falling through the hole in the roof of their stadium, plates of food that seemed like buffet trays to me, and good spirits all round.

For the real reason, not one to tease the old with, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and don't forget the gym will be waiting for you afterwards!
