You can 3D print silver, Wow! Uum..actually we 3D print in wax. The wax model is then replaced by Sterling Silver and this becomes your Cufflink or Ringpoem. Sterling silver is jewelery grade silver that is 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. Your entire Cufflink or Ringpoem will made of silver, it is not just a coating. We hope you guys enjoy sculpting in silver with words!
For the Silver Ringpoem you can type in any text you want. The length depends on the font you choose. Try that here.

3D printed silver? How?
The process
This process is very different from the Direct Metal Laser Sintering process we used for titanium. It is also different from the metal 3D printing in stainless steel & bronze process we use right now for this model or the bronze Ringpoems.
For all the jewelery designers out there: we do not currently offer this for the rest of the models of the site. If however you want to have your model in Silver then send Joris a link to the Shapeways model that you would like to have and we'll see what we can do.
